HELLO
This site is my designer's
sketchbook.
It's a place to explore the ideas, images, experiments, and finished work that
make up my
creative practice. Because stories aren't built with words alone.
They are built with words,
images, structure, rhythm, and experience.
The internet is one of the most powerful storytelling mediums ever created.
A website can
be a page, a gallery, a storefront, a comic book, an
interactive world-or all of them at once.
And good stories get good results.
Take a look around, explore the work, and if you have a story that needs
building, let's talk.

about
My creative education
started long
before I
entered a classroom.
Paint pixels and
code before high
noon
I eventually formalized that education through art and design, developing
a foundation in
illustration, graphic design, multimedia, and visual
communication. Over more than two
decades, I've worked across
illustration, branding, print, digital media, web design, and
interactive
experiences.
Today, that same curiosity drives my work across art, writing, and
design-three
disciplines that I see as different tools for building the
same thing:
Writing gives the world its voice.
Words provide the context, personality, history, and meaningbehind the image. I use writing to develop characters, exploreideas, shape narratives, and turn individual concepts into storiespeople can follow.
For me, writing and visual art
aren't separate processes.
The
words inform the image, and the
image informs the
words.

Every image I've drawn and every design I've made
started with a story I
wanted to tell.
Life begins full of promise and ends with lessons
learned and stories lived. My lessons tend to
start with a singular phrase.
Currently in post production of the audiobook, O
SH!T Living on the L.A.M is not just a book, it's
an artistic experience of life. The book, mixtape
and print collection all build to singular story
and a futuristic vision.
Head to my Patreon to join the ride to
completion and hear some of the stories along
the way.
Comics have always been a passion of mine. Hell, I drew my
first one in 3rd grade and wrote my first in 7th.
Were they great, absolutely not. Were they part of my
catalyst to head to art school, absoultely were. Blak Pulp is
a Philly born creation of passion, sweat and creativity.
Currently in production of a redesign of the lore and
characters you can get a glimpse of some of the new
characters and script here
It's been a while since I've been here and I think it might be
time to get back to short fiction
and articles articles. These I'm
saving are samples with range.

what we’re witnessing right now is change. New things are often open, fragile and volatile. In other words, many projects won’t last the period no matter how pretty and shiny they are; sorta like high school crushes.
you resurrect through self regard. It becomes clearer as I walk the floor of InLiquid Gallery at 1400 American St. viewing Tayyib Smith’s beautifully curated gallery; The Source of Self-Regard.
"This cat rolled up with a stream of custom tracks he was playing. We hijacked the monitor system and played them through the speakers. It drew the block. He stood in the center of the crowd talking himself up and dancing sloppily to his music."

As an artist, I use images to establish the world.
Illustration, character, composition, color, and visual style
give an idea its personality before a single word is read.
Whether I'm developing a character, building a visual
identity, or exploring an entirely new world, the goal is
the
same: create imagery that communicates and gives
the
story somewhere to live.

As a designer, I connect words and images into experiences that are
clear, cohesive, and purposeful. Branding,
websites, typography, illustration,
motion, and interactive elements become parts of the same visual
language.
The artist creates the world.
The writer gives it a voice.
The designer makes sure the audience knows how to enter it.
That combination is where the work really comes together: storytelling
through design.
